Grant applications (for better or for worse) are the lifeblood of Canadian theatre. With competition so steep, and so many factors to think about, having a helping hand or an impartial opinion can make the difference between an ‘Approved’ and the dreaded ‘Declined’.

I will support you through your application process. Whether it is someone to discuss your intended application, or whether it is to review a grant you have written and make edits, I can do it all.

For context, I have written successful grant applications for over eight years and have raised over $1.3 million across all of the major granting bodies.

Please note:

• This opportunity is for consultation and/or editing purposes only. I will not write the grant for you.

• Currently only available for OAC, CCA, or Trillium Foundation grants. Recommender Grants, Project grants, Seed grants, etc. are all more that welcome!

• The first hour can be a consultation to review the project, discuss your company’s goals, and review the grant itself (whether that be to go through the questions together, or briefly review your written answers). Anyone on your team is welcome to listen in!

• Alternatively, or in addition, hours can be allotted towards the editing of the grant application. Iain’s notes are known to be concise, no BS, and effective.

• Please purchase the number of hours you would like through the number of ‘stock’ you buy. How this time is divided (ie. all at once, over multiple sessions) can be determined by Iain and yourself, but is subject to availability.

• Iain’s services do not guarantee success, as there are a myriad of factors as to why a grant may or may not be approved. However, Iain promises to be as honest, efficient, and effective as possible - ensuring your grant is the best it can be.
